Start the New Year out Right with a Better You!

2693171833 8c11200965 oDo you have a New Year’s resolution? This is the time of year everyone asks you that question. The old year is coming to an end, and we see an opportunity to “start fresh.” Many people begin every year resolving to better themselves so they will be able to live happier, healthier lives. Do you recognize any of these common resolutions?

  • Lose Weight
  • Get Fit
  • Quit Smoking
  • Diet and Eat Healthier
  • Drink Less

All of these are admirable goals. Establishing a healthier, more productive lifestyle often means focusing on what you put in your body and how you spend your time because in our modern lives it’s too easy to eat too much and exercise too little.

Many of the patients that we see at our Houston plastic surgery center already live healthy lives. They exercise every day and maintain their weight, they eat a healthy and varied diet, they don’t smoke, and they protect their skin from too much sun exposure. They are already doing all or most of the things necessary to enhance their health and appearance. Still, there is a change or two they fantasize about that they feel would make a real difference in how others see them and how they see themselves.

If this is how you feel, know that you are not alone. You might read magazines, admiring the many beautiful models, athletes, or actresses out there, all the while making a wish list of how you would like your body to look like if you had the opportunity to have breast augmentation or liposuction. Maybe you’ve spent 2014 or 2015 dedicating yourself to getting physically healthier. You’ve lost a significant amount of weight, and now you’re ready to take the next step towards having that beach ready body: a tummy tuck.

Self-improvement is a process, one that is never really finished. There are so many things we can learn to do, experiences we can have, and goals that we can focus on and achieve. Sometimes we can do those things on our own, and sometimes we need a little assistance to recreate ourselves how we would like to be.

If you’ve been thinking about plastic surgery and would like to talk to a doctor about how to enhance your appearance and make 2016 the year you can fully celebrate your beautiful body, we at Bancroft Feldman would love to have the opportunity to talk to you about the possibilities.

We wish you the happiest of holidays and all the best for the new year!
